2.) RaveRunner X/RIG Chest Pack

Personally, I am not a fan of carrying a large, cumbersome backpack, even though I prefer having a generous supply of water on hand. Sometimes, the bulkiness of traditional backpacks can cause discomfort and overheating, which is why I recommend the RaveRunner Chest Packs, another fantastic product by RaveRunner®.

This compact chest bag offers a surprising amount of storage, allowing you to comfortably carry 17oz of water, your phone, keys, vape, snacks, and even a long-sleeved sweatshirt. Chest bags have gained popularity recently due to their significant convenience factor, and this is no exception.

The bag’s front main pocket is designed to house your water flask and phone, while the adjacent pockets can hold everything else. For an added bonus, you can even fill the back panel with ice to help cool you down during particularly sweltering festivals.

rave chest rig 500x500

While not explicitly advertised as an anti-theft product, the front storage configuration minimizes the chances of phone theft compared to traditional backpacks, where the phone is usually stored in the back.

If you like a minimal design and carrying capacity, this is the best rave bag.

Cost: $69.99

3) Vibrelli Hydro Pack

This Hydration Pack is a highly practical option for the budget-conscious raver or festival attendee. It boasts comfortable and adjustable straps, easy accessibility to the water hose outlet, and a modest amount of storage space for smaller items.

If you prefer a lightweight and minimalist design, this pack will surely suffice. However, for those seeking to carry additional larger items, such as a GoPro or camera, a larger festival backpack from our list of recommendations may be a more suitable option. While not necessarily the most fashionable or trendy rave accessory available, it provides a highly cost-effective solution for your hydration and storage needs.

Cheap and easy to use.

Cost: $25

4) RaveRunner Clear Hydration Backpack

Clear Anti-Theft RaveRunner®
Clear Anti-Theft RaveRunner®

In the upcoming festival season, it’s possible that you might encounter some venues requiring a clear camelbak backpack for entry. While the rationale for this requirement remains unclear, it’s worth noting that GenZ Outdoor has produced a clear plastic hydration pack in the form of their RaveRunner anti-theft rave hydropack.

This festival bag offers the best of both worlds, providing a transparent exterior that will enable you to meet the requirements of venues while also offering anti-theft protection for your valuables. If you plan on attending an event with this regulation in place, this clear camelbak backpack is an ideal choice to help you get through security with ease.

Many festivals require clear bags and this one is ALSO anti-theft, great choice.

Cost: $81.99

5) One Packet Camelpack

As festival regulations become more stringent and limit pockets to a maximum of two, festival attendees seek solutions that offer convenience without violating these restrictions. The Camelbak Mule hydration pack presents a reliable alternative that fulfills this need. While it may lack the anti-theft features of other options mentioned above, it still offers excellent functionality as a festival hydration backpack. However, it’s essential to take good care of personal belongings like your phone or consider pairing it with a fanny pack to keep them secure.

You can purchase this pack via the provided link or at your nearest outdoor store, including REI. Therefore, if you’re en route to a festival, this may be a smart addition to your gear.\

Cost: $59

6) Mothybot 2 Liter hydration Pack

Upon researching this particular hydration pack, it appears that while it may suffice for casual use, it may not be the best option for the dedicated raver or festival-goer. After analyzing the reviews and feedback from consumers, it seems that this particular model has a tendency to break easily and could potentially result in an unpleasant and inconvenient situation, as the backpack could become quite wet due to the broken hydration system.

Additionally, it should be noted that while the numerous pockets may be useful for those embarking on a weekend-long hiking excursion, they may not necessarily be practical or necessary for the typical festival experience. Therefore, it is important to consider the specific needs and requirements for the event you plan to attend when selecting a hydration pack.

Cost: $59

7) Reinos 2 Liter Hydration Pack

Indubitably, this minimalist hydration pack may not be the most feature-rich option, however, it undeniably gets the job done. For those seeking a small, yet stylish and exceedingly affordable alternative, this bag is sure to tick all the boxes. With a plethora of holographic colors and fun prints to choose from, you can effortlessly match this bag with your festival outfits, making it a versatile addition to your festival gear. Remarkably, on Amazon alone, this bag boasts an impressive array of 15 different styles to pick from.

Notwithstanding, it is prudent to mention that there have been a few unfavorable reviews regarding this bag. According to some users, the bladder is prone to breaking fast, while others have experienced issues with the bag tearing apart after limited use. Nevertheless, given the wallet-friendly price point of only $30, these negative occurrences are not entirely surprising. Taking good care of your bag is vital and with proper use, it should last you an entire festival season.

Despite the negative feedback, there are also many rave reviews from contented users who have owned and used this bag extensively. Therefore, it would be judicious to conduct thorough research to ensure this is the right hydration pack for you.

Cost: $60

8) Camelbak Mule Rave Backpack

Among the myriad of Camel Backpack options available in the market, this particular one stands out as a top contender owing to its perfect size, optimal weight, and sleek minimalist design. Not only does it offer great functionality, but it is also aesthetically pleasing.

One of its notable features is the ergonomic handle that facilitates easy refilling, while the magnetic tube trap ensures the tube is both secure and easily accessible. Additionally, the air-director back panels promote air flow, preventing excessive perspiration and ensuring your back stays cool and comfortable.

Furthermore, this backpack provides ample storage space and is remarkably comfortable to wear. Moreover, it comes with the coveted “The Got Your Bak Lifetime Guarantee,” which covers all reservoirs, backpacks, bottles, and accessories against manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship for the entire lifetime of the product!

Cost: $140

9) Vibedration 2 liter Festival Bag

This line of festival backpacks is quite appealing due to its spaciousness and attractive design. It is particularly suited for individuals who prefer to have a multitude of items with them while attending events. Among these, the Vibedration Festival Hydration Backpacks stand out with their vivid and flamboyant patterns, which are sure to add flair to any ensemble.

Cost: $69

10) Orange Mud 2 Liter Rave Pack

This particular hydration backpack is designed to combat the sweltering conditions of outdoor festivals. While originally intended for use in endurance sports, the pack boasts a higher profile, allowing for the release of trapped heat, which can otherwise become oppressive when covered by fabric. The pack’s secure fit is bolstered by shock-absorbing clips that cater to all body types, ensuring that it remains snug throughout the day. The chest pockets are another notable feature, as they are equipped with rope clips for complete closure.

For those seeking a versatile hydration backpack that can serve them well at festivals and during athletic activities, this option would be an excellent choice. Additionally, Orange Mud offers a variety of hydration backpacks in different sizes to cater to a wider range of preferences.

Cost: $90

Conclusion

As you can see, I have given you a great amount of rave hydration bags to try. I would advocate you incorporate you goals, costs, and how long you believe you will rave. All in all, this guide to rave hydration packs should give you a great start to staying hydrated while raving.

From Raves to Runs: Why Sunglasses Are a Must-Have Outdoor Accessory

Outdoor activities during the summer are hugely popular; from sports and music festivals, people head outdoors when the weather is nice. With more opportunities for both, many are itching to head outside for a run or a rave. However, temperatures are rising, meaning you’ll need more sun protection to do your activities comfortably.

Sunglasses are crucial for keeping your eyes safe from damage, and they help enhance your performance and visibility while elevating your look to the next level. Sports sunglasses are becoming more popular for this reason, with expectations for the market to grow by $1.40 billion as they give wearers an added boost when playing sports or running. If you’re still not convinced, here are reasons why sunglasses are a must-have outdoor accessory:

UV protection

One of the most critical functions of sunglasses is protection from the sun’s harmful UV rays. Leaving your eyes unprotected for too long can lead to short and long-term effects; this can be especially damaging if you spend a lot of time outside on runs or hanging out at desert festivals. The sun can damage the delicate skin of your eyelid, cornea, lens, and other eye parts. You can also experience photokeratitis or “snow blindness,” which is essentially a sunburn of the eye that can occur from direct sunlight exposure or when UVA and UVB rays are reflected off surfaces.

To protect your eyes when outside, look for a pair of shades that block out 99 to 100% of UVA and UVB radiation and screen out 76 to 90% of visible light. Wraparound sunglasses provide the most coverage, keeping the sunlight away from multiple angles. You can also pair sunglasses with a visor or hat for extra protection.

Style

Whether you’re out for a run or heading to a festival, it doesn’t hurt to look your best. A pair of stylish and functional sunglasses are essential to complete your look while keeping your eyes safe outdoors. Oakley showcases how lifestyle and sport performance shades come together with the latest technologies to protect your eyes and keep you looking sleek. If you want something more “you,” you can customize the look of your shades to match your style. Do you want a timeless look on the road or in a crowd?

The Holbrook style provides that classic and simple vibe without being boring. For good protection and a more eccentric look, the Sutro model offers wraparound coverage and a futuristic image, which will work for outdoor sports or jamming to your favorite hits at a festival. You can pick a style for your sunglasses that suits your activities and lifestyle, so you can sport the pair wherever you go.

Improved visibility

It’s never fun to get light in your eyes when you’re outdoors. It’s inconvenient when you’re at a festival, and you have to squint to see the artists on stage, and it can even be dangerous when you’re doing outdoor sports and can’t see your surroundings properly. Sunglasses prevent light from affecting your vision and reduce reflected glare from surfaces such as water, snow, and glass. Polarized sunglasses are especially effective for minimizing glare; they sharpen the contrast between light and dark, increase visual comfort, and prevent eye strain.

Brands like Maui Jim showcase that these lenses are easily accessible and stylish, allowing you to benefit from reduced glare wherever you go. Improved visibility with polarized sunglasses helps you perform your best when playing outdoor sports, allowing you to see more clearly and avoid hazards.

You can easily push yourself and increase your stamina when you’re able to spend more time performing at peak condition. Reduced glare is also great for festivals, allowing you to see comfortably and enjoy the performances without straining your eyes. You can keep your eyes protected and relaxed when you aren’t affected by the light.

The Making of the 3rd Eye RageRunner: Behind the Scenes of Our Limited Drop

Our RageRunner Hydration Packs are more than just bags—they’re limited edition drops, each with its own vibe and style. These aren’t your run-of-the-mill packs. Each one comes with dual bladder chamber bladders, so you can fill one with water and the other with, well, whatever keeps you in the zone—beer, vodka, or even ranch dressing if that’s your thing!

Every RageRunner drop is a different print, a different style, and once they’re sold out, they’re gone for good. This is why each bag is to be very special and have its own tone, style, print method, and vibe.

This drop we wanted to create a bag that parlayed with the Tomorrowland music festival. This is a festival in Belgium that’s all about being enchanting, immersive, and dreamlike.

Gathering Inspiration

We kicked things off by gathering inspiration that would help us nail the look and feel we were going for. Tomorrowland has this ethereal vibe, so we knew we wanted to incorporate shiny gold elements and keep the color palette monochromatic and muted. Nothing too crazy, just enough to capture that otherworldly energy.

Bringing the Vision to Life

Once we had our inspiration, it was time to start searching for the perfect patterns. We hit up Adobe Stock and searched for keywords like “gold pattern,” “gold abstract art,” and “golden shimmer art” until we found something that clicked.

Finally we came across a pattern that was close, but it had some blue in it that didn’t fit our vision. No problem—we took it into Photoshop and made it all gold, exactly how we envisioned it.

The Game-Changer: Foil Printing

To really make this bag stand out, we decided to try a print method called foil printing. This isn’t your typical sublimation or high-density printing. With foil printing, actual foil is pressed onto the fabric, giving it that shiny, dreamlike vibe we were aiming for. It was the perfect finishing touch.

Third Eye Hydration Pack

Final Thoughts

Our design process might seem simple, but it’s all about capturing the right vibe and pushing the limits. We gather inspiration, experiment with new techniques, and create something that’s not just a bag but a statement. The Third Eye RageRunner is exactly that—a blend of innovationcreativity, and a whole lot of festival magic.

How We Designed the Ultimate Lost Lands Hydration Pack

When it comes to our RageRunner Hydration Packs, we don’t mess around. These aren’t just your standard hydropacks: they’re limited-edition drops, and once they sell out, they’re gone forever. That’s what makes each RageRunner special. Every bag has its own unique style, vibe, and purpose.

For the Lost Lands Hydration Pack, we wanted to create something different. A tough, mosh pit-friendly hydro pack that makes you feel like you’ve stepped into the prehistoric world of the Land of the Lost.

Starting with Inspiration

Like always, the first step in our process was gathering inspiration. We knew we wanted this pack to feel raw and tenacious. It had to scream Lost Lands – not just another festival bag. We wanted it to fit right in with the dinosaur vibes but still be something practical enough for a festival-goer to rock all day.

We started tossing around some ideas. Gold accents? Hell yes. Shiny and sleek, but nothing too flashy. We didn’t want this pack to steal the show entirely, so we kept the colors monochrome and muted – nothing too wild.

The Search for the Perfect Design

Next, we hit Adobe Stock and searched for elements that would bring our idea to life. Think: Dragon ScalesDinosaur Claw Slash, and all things Jurassic. After browsing for a while, we stumbled on a pattern we liked.

We threw the pattern onto a black base in CLO 3D Garment Design Software to see how it would look, and honestly, it was next-level. But we weren’t done yet. We thought, what if we added neon green to give it that extra edge? After looking at it for a hot minute, we realized it gave off too much of a Monster Energy vibe, so we ditched it. Sometimes, less is more.

The Final Touches

Instead of the green, we opted for a bold blue claw mark that turned out to be perfect. It had the aggressive look we wanted, but still fit the Lost Lands aesthetic. We loved it so much that we decided to make a pink version for the ladies. No lie, we ended up loving the pink one even more. It’s got that extra pop that’ll definitely stand out at the festival.

After finalizing the design, we moved on to printing. We tried two different methods—foil print and sublimation. Both looked good, but when we saw that reflective foil claw under the lights, it was game over. The foil had to be the one. It just popped in a way that sublimation couldn’t match.

A Little Extra for the Drop

Now, we can’t just drop a pack this cool without going all out for the launch. So, we got our animator to create a crazy video featuring dinosaurs chasing the bags through a headbanger soundtrack. Yeah, it might be a little over the top, but that’s the kind of energy this bag deserves. Lost Lands is all about making a statement, and this pack is no exception.

Final Thoughts

Our design process might seem straightforward, but it’s all about finding the right balance between creativity and practicality. We gather inspiration, test new methods, and always push the limits to create something fresh, something different.

The Lost Lands Hydration Pack is more than just a bag – it’s a piece of the festival experience. Whether you’re diving into a mosh pit or just chilling by the stage, this pack’s got your back.

Behind the Design: Riot Ten Chest Pack

The Design Process:

We started with our classic 3-pocket chest pack but knew it needed an upgrade. Festival-goers need space to carry more than just small essentials, so we increased the size without losing the sleek look. Then, we dove into the details.

Riot Ten’s reflective hype or die logo was the first addition. We slapped it onto the straps because, let’s be real, reflective gear is always a vibe and it never goes out of style. The hyper-die reflects under the lights, making sure you stand out, no matter where you are.

Next, we focused on making the pack more than just functional—we wanted it to be a collector’s item. We added a contrast patch with Riot Ten’s logo, placed front and center on the back. Sure, it’s not always visible when you’re wearing it, but it’s still a sick addition that gives the bag a unique look.

The Final Touches:

Chris wasn’t feeling the first sample we came up with, so we went back to the drawing board. Then, he sent over a savage design with flames that fit perfectly. It was everything the pack needed—fierce, yet subtle with a whole lot of mosh pitability. The monochrome look with flames created a vibe that was chill but intense enough for any festival.

We partied hard in this pack, and it looked sick on Chris and anyone else who rocked it. This chest pack is not just a piece of gear—it’s a statement.

Why It’s a Must-Have:

The Riot Ten Chest Pack isn’t just built for the festival circuit—it’s built to withstand the chaos of the mosh pit. With extra storage space, reflective details, and a killer flame design, this chest pack was made for those who thrive on both adventure and the energy of a crowd.

Does Protein Help With Running Recovery?

Runners, prepare to be amazed! The secret to accelerated recovery and improved performance after a strenuous running session may be hidden in a nutrient we all know and love – protein. In this article, we will delve into the essential role of protein in a runner’s recovery, discuss its impact on performance, and explore how to harness its full potential. Are you ready? Let’s go!

Protein: The Building Blocks of Muscles and More

Protein is an indispensable component of our diet, responsible for constructing and repairing body tissues, including muscles. Composed of amino acids, protein is the primary ingredient needed to promote muscle growth, repair, and maintenance. Moreover, protein also plays a vital role in hormone production, immune system function, and enzyme activity. When runners push their bodies to the limit, muscle fibers can be damaged. Protein swoops in to save the day, providing the building blocks necessary for muscle repair and recovery.

The Science Behind Protein and Running Recovery

Intense or prolonged running sessions can cause microscopic tears in muscle fibers, leading to inflammation and soreness. That’s where protein leaps into action! Research has shown that consuming protein after a run aids in reducing muscle damage and inflammation, as well as enhancing muscle repair and growth. By supplying the body with a steady stream of amino acids, protein supports the muscle-rebuilding process, helping you bounce back from your workouts faster and more efficiently.

Protein and Running Performance: The Connection

The benefits of protein don’t stop at recovery; it also plays a crucial role in improving overall running performance. Sufficient protein intake can boost muscle strength and power, increase endurance, and enhance running economy. As protein repairs and rebuilds muscle tissue, it helps runners develop stronger and more efficient muscles, ultimately leading to better performance on the track or trail.

Optimal Protein Intake for Runners

Now, you might be wondering how much protein you should consume to reap these incredible recovery and performance benefits. Runners should aim for 1.2 to 1.4 grams of protein per kilogram of body weight daily. For instance, a 70-kilogram runner should consume approximately 84 to 98 grams of protein each day. To maximize recovery and performance, it’s essential to distribute protein intake evenly throughout the day, with a focus on post-workout nutrition.

Timing is Key: Post-Run Protein Window

A crucial aspect of protein consumption is timing. There’s an optimal window of opportunity for protein intake following a run. This “protein window” occurs within 30 minutes to 2 hours post-workout. During this time, your body is primed to absorb and utilize protein most effectively, expediting muscle recovery, growth, and adaptation.

Protein Sources: Variety is the Spice of Life

There’s no shortage of protein sources to choose from. You can enjoy a wide array of protein-rich foods, such as lean meats, poultry, fish, eggs, dairy products, legumes, nuts, and seeds. For those on-the-go moments, protein supplements like whey and plant-based protein powders can also provide a convenient and efficient way to meet your protein needs. Remember, incorporating various protein sources in your diet ensures you consume all the essential amino acids required for optimal recovery and performance.

The Dynamic Duo: Protein and Carbohydrates

What if we told you that there’s a powerful partnership that can supercharge your running recovery and performance? Combining protein with carbohydrates has been shown to enhance the absorption and utilization of amino acids, ultimately promoting faster muscle repair, growth, and adaptation. Aim for a 3:1 or 4:1 ratio of carbohydrates to protein for your post-run meal or snack to unlock this dynamic duo’s full potential. Furthermore, this combination helps replenish glycogen stores, ensuring you have the energy needed for your next run or workout.

Hydration and Protein: Don’t Forget the Water

While discussing the importance of protein, it’s vital not to overlook the role of hydration in recovery and performance. Adequate water intake is necessary to support muscle repair and maintain optimal bodily functions. Staying well-hydrated also aids in the digestion and absorption of protein, ensuring that your body can effectively utilize this essential nutrient. Make sure to drink water before, during, and after your runs to support your recovery and performance goals.

Practical Post-Run Protein Ideas

Need some inspiration for protein-packed, post-run meals or snacks? Look no further! Here are some delicious and easy-to-prepare options:

  • Greek yogurt with granola and berries – check here for our protein-packed yogurt picks.
  • Chocolate milk or a protein shake
  • Turkey or chicken sandwich on whole-grain bread
  • Quinoa salad with beans, avocado, and mixed veggies
  • Grilled salmon or tofu with brown rice and steamed vegetables
  • Cottage cheese with fruit and a drizzle of honey
  • Peanut butter and banana on whole-grain toast

Conclusion:

Protein is a game-changer for runners seeking to enhance their recovery process and boost performance. By consuming the right amount of protein at the right time and in combination with carbohydrates, you can bounce back from your workouts faster and achieve new milestones in your running journey. Don’t underestimate the power of protein – make it a central part of your nutrition strategy, and you’ll be well on your way to unlocking your full potential as a runner.

First Time Snowboarding Checklist

Preparing for a snowboarding or skiing trip may be overwhelming, especially if you have not done it before. You will need to make a decision between buying and renting the snow equipment. Renting may be a better option if you are new to either sport. It will also open you up to many other brands. Afterward, you will be able to settle on the best brand

I would also highly recommend taking some lessons if you have never hit the slopes before. I promise it will make your time out there much more enjoyable. Snowboarding or skiing lessons will come in handy to help you avoid unnecessary injuries. Both sports are a highly demanding physical activity so you will need you to know how to maneuver, and when to take a break. Getting the newbie lessons from an expert is your best option for avoiding injuries.

When it’s time to make a decision on snowboarding gear, a guide or checklist is essential. The following first time snowboarding checklist will make your snowboarding experience worthwhile.

Snowboard Equipment

This should be your first checklist. There are a few necessities when it comes to gear. Therefore, being keen on your brand selection is key to a successful snowboarding event. Your set of snowboarding gear should have the following:

  • Snowboard– There are 3 main types of board shapes. Camber, which is a very stable, controlled ride. Flat, which gives great control while remaining to feel like you are floating across the snow. And rocker, which provides a very surfer feeling and enables high-level riders to utilize the terrain parks better.
  • Bindings– Bindings vary in flexibility. Flexible bindings will provide more versatility to do tricks, which is why they are more-so for advanced riders. Stable hard bindings provide great support and a stable ride if this is your first time on the snow.
  • Boots– Both of these items pair to be omnipotent when going onto the mountains. Make sure your boots fit snug. Boots that are loose will be tough to control your ride in. Boots that are too tight will put you in the lodge rubbing your in-soles very fast, not fun.
  • Socks– Don’t underestimate the importance of quality snowboard socks. Choose moisture-wicking, cushioned pairs and make sure they’re long enough to fully extend above your boots. This prevents rubbing and sore feet, keeping you warm, dry, and comfortable all day on the slopes.

Snowboarding Outwear

Looking good on the mountain could not only feel good but also come in handy when looking for friends. I wear a retro onesie that my dad wore in the eighties. It is quite flashy with colors of yellow, purple, and teal. There’s no way anyone loses sight of me. Along with nice style, it’s important to have all other essential gear:

  • Snow Jacket/Onesie– Your jacket must be waterproof, have a considerable number of pockets, and is snow specific. If you can get one with a hood and vents that would be awesome. Importantly, the jacket must be able to fend off snow from getting into your pants, thus, it has to be long enough. This is why we recommend a onesie. When you fall, there’s no way for snow to go up your back.
  • Hydration Pack – A proper snowboarding hydration pack with extra pockets and an easy-access bladder is essential to prolonging a day on the slopes with minimal downtime.
  • Snow Pants– If you’re not going to go with a onesie, the pants must be waterproof and able to keep off snow from entering into your boots. Perfects pants are the ones which have inner boot gaiter.
  • Hat– Carrying a hat or a beanie will help cover your head. If you wear a helmet, which you should (get past the “dork” label), wearing a balaclava maybe be more beneficial than a hat.
  • Mittens or gloves– They must be waterproof and can keep you warm for as long as you will spend your day out. I highly recommend mittens as they will certainly keep your hands warmer.
  • Facemask– It is an optional outwear. However, by having it you will shield your face from snow, sun rays and wind as you slid down the mountain. Nothing is worse than your nose freezing and not being able to do anything about it until you stop.

Snowboarding Safety gear

Your safety is paramount during snowboarding. Safety gear will help you avoid injuries, but will also give you the confidence to do more which is critical in snowboarding. You will need the following safety gear for your snowboarding activity.

  • Helmet– Having a helmet will help you avoid head injuries in an event of a fall while on the slopes. Snowboarding falls can happen, even if you consider yourself experienced. Get a helmet which will stand multiple impacts without damage, this will save you some cash. Also, be sure that your helmet is comfortable. This is something you’ll be wearing all day.
  • Goggles– Your eyes are precious, thus, you will need to protect them from snow, sun, and wind. You do not need a very expensive pair at all, but a nice pair with an anti-fog coating on them would be worth the extra cash.
  • Knee pads– They will help protect your knees if you fall on your knees. You don’t really notice them when riding either.
  • Butt pads– As a beginner, you will more than likely spend most of your time on your butt. It is inevitable.
  • Wrist guards– My dad bought these for me as a kid and I fought him on wearing them. Now I wear them every time I hit the slopes. They more than likely have saved me from a sprained wrist once or twice.

Now that we have highlighted the must-have items before you set off for a snowboarding event for the first time, here are some optional ones you may consider to have.

  • Earphones– If you are a music enthusiast, they will help you find a rhythm as you will be snowboarding. Be careful though, as you may not be able to hear other riders.
  • Lunch– If it is a nice powder day, you won’t want to waste much time not riding. Bring a small meal with you that provides some good energy to keep going.
  • Extra Phone Battery – The cold will only drain your phone battery even more. Getting caught without your camera for a nice picture, or the ability to find your friends on the mountain is not fun.

Now that you are familiar with the necessities as a beginner for a snowboarding activity, it is time to get out there and shred. Have fun!

Eldora is a highly trafficked top Colorado ski resort that is beginner-friendly and close to the city. It is a popular spot for those looking for a nearby ski option, but it may not be the most exciting mountain to ski on. Eldora is a convenient option for skiers and snowboarders, but it may not offer much excitement for those looking for challenging terrain. It’s mainly aimed at beginners and can get busy during peak times.

9) Breckenridge

Breckenridge is a polished ski resort that balances world-class skiing with a laidback culture. Breck is known for its excellent customer service, manicured slopes, stunning backdrop, and well-developed infrastructure. It was also the first ski resort in Colorado to permit snowboarding and continues to have a strong commitment to terrain parks. Despite its many benefits, Breck can get very windy. Additionally, it is highly trafficked and the slopes can become congested and worn out from excessive traffic. The restaurants and town are also often crowded, and lift lines can be long.

8) Winter Park

A shuffle shWinter Park has a long history, starting in 1939 when it was opened by the city of Denver to provide a “winter park” for the residents. Today, it has transformed into a major ski destination resort with first-class facilities. Winter Park is famous for the Mary Jane Mountain and its moguls, which have reached cult status. The town scene may not be the best, but Winter Park is still a great option for those who love moguls and want to ski on a highly trafficked mountain.

7) Keystone

Keystone is a great option for a day trip, offering something for a wide range of skiers and snowboarders. The ski resort has excellent terrain parks, intermediate terrain, diverse advanced terrain, and some of the best night skiing in the US. Keystone receives significantly less snow than nearby ski resorts and the town is a purpose-built village lacking in quaintness, but it has well-designed amenities.

6) Copper

Copper Mountain has outstanding beginner and intermediate terrain, making it a very family-friendly option. The ski area has nice high alpine bowls and fantastic views, making it a great destination for those looking for a ski experience with a little bit of challenge. However, the lifts are very slow. Also, the nightlife is lacking at Copper Mountain as well. Hard to find parking and lodging sometimes too. The village is delightfully quirky although it still lacks the charm of a real Colorado ski town.

Arapahoe Basin – Arapahoe Basin, also known as “The Beach,” is known for its long ski season, often staying open into June. However, it only has expert terrain and does not offer insight lodging

4) Aspen

In the 4th place we got Aspen. However, its really far, so not a lot of people are going to go there compared to Breck, Vail, or Keystone. Aspen Mountain, or Ajax, is one of the 4 resorts that make up the Aspen Snowmass. It is also the easiest to access if you choose to stay in the city’s downtown. The town of Aspen alone is reason enough to visit. From a collection of restaurants to incredible nightlife, you will never feel more entertained.  Unfortunately, the mountain does not offer beginner terrain and only a few expert ones. Additionally, it shocks you with the combination of high price and slow lifts, which can be agitating.
